Essential Question

As part of the TGC experience we were asked to come up with an essential question. This is kind of a theme that will be the basis of many of the conversations and interactions we have with the different people we meet. It is supposed to be big enough that we can look at it from different angles but also focused and relevant to our schools and communities. After many revisions, and lots of help from my travel partner, I decided to look at the effect of AIDS and other viral epidemics on education. I want to focus on student achievement and social implications specific to schools.
